The project re-elaborates textile on wooden surfaces
The suggestions come from mid-twentieth century fabrics revisited, reduced to their essence and reworked as decorations. Two variants are available depending on the arrangement of the basic module: Tratteggio composed of alternating lines which produces a sort of hatching, Continuo formed by parallel lines of different widths.
Materiality of great impact is achieved throught the alternation between sandblasted portions, where the grains emerge as in a bas-relief, and polished portions of each tile. This result as well as being very innovative for coffered flooring is particularly surprising to the touch and to the eye.
In this case a single type of wood is used, oak, but the perception of it varies depending on the angle at which it is observed. The tile measures 58 x 58 cm.
